We put Sugar Rush 1000 through 1,000 demo spins before writing this review. The Pragmatic Play slot from March 2024 keeps the 7×7 cluster-pays grid of the original but lifts the top win to 25,000x the bet. Our short verdict: a solid bet if you can sit through long dry spells between bonus rounds.

The widget needs no app and runs like other instant play demo slots on mobile, which we checked on an iPhone 13 and a Samsung Galaxy S23. Play Demo loads a bankroll of virtual credits with no sign-up, while the real-money button opens CAD play in a new tab. Load time on 4G averaged 4 seconds in our checks, quick enough for a short session over a Timmies double-double.

Sugar Rush 1000 Demo vs Real Money: What Changes

In our comparison only the currency changed: demo credits can’t be cashed out, while CAD wins go to your withdrawable balance. We ran the Sugar Rush 1000 demo slot and the paid version side by side for 200 spins each, and paytable values and bonus rules matched. Interac withdrawals to Canadian bank accounts take up to 24 hours after verification.

Some operators run Sugar Rush 1000 with a reduced RTP, and that setting costs about CA$20 per 2,000 spins at CA$1 each, or around CA$40 on the lowest level. Before your first deposit, open Game Rules in the Sugar Rush demo 1000 menu and compare the figure with the table. We rate this check as the most useful 30 seconds of any demo session.

What to Test in Sugar Rush 1000 Free Play

Test three mechanics: tumble chains, multiplier spots and both Bonus Buy tiers. During a Sugar Rush 1000 free play run of 1,000 spins we hit 3 natural bonuses, close to the expected rate, so give the slot at least 300 spins before judging it.

Cluster Pays and the Tumble Feature
Winning clusters of 5+ symbols vanish and new ones fall in, and each cascade pays separately. In our test 29% of spins returned a win, but most paid under 1x the bet. Chains of 4+ cascades delivered almost every base-game win above 5x.
Multiplier Spots: Watch Them Double to x1,024
The first win marks a cell, the second sets x2, then each hit doubles it to x1,024. Spots reset after base-game tumbles and stay sticky in free games; our best spot reached x256. Turn off Turbo and Quick Spin to track them.
Free Spins and Bonus Buy in Demo Mode
3 to 7 scatters award 10, 12, 15, 20 or 30 free games. Both buy tiers, 100x and 500x, work with demo credits, the main reason to test here. We list it under free bonus buy slots for Canadian players.

We bought the 500x Super round 10 times: results ranged from 38x to 1,140x, with 412x on average, below the entry price. The round starts with x16 on the centre cell and rings of x8, x4 and x2, yet that head start never guaranteed a profit. When you play the Sugar Rush 1000 free demo, run at least 10 buys before paying CA$500 for one at CA$1 a spin.

About Pragmatic Play Demo Slots

Pragmatic Play demo slots run the same math as the paid games, and our test figures backed that up. The studio launched in Gibraltar in 2015, holds a UK Gambling Commission licence and lists 400+ titles. Each Sugar Rush 1000 demo Pragmatic Play session in our lobby loads the provider’s original file, and the official bonus rate of about once per 323 spins matched what we saw.

Sugar Rush 1000 sits in the 1000 series next to Gates of Olympus 1000, Sweet Bonanza 1000 and Starlight Princess 1000. Compared with the first Sugar Rush, the spot cap rose from x128 to x1,024 and the top win from 5,000x to 25,000x. All these titles load in HTML5, so each works as a free demo slot no download required on desktop and phone.

Responsible Play – Even in Demo Mode

Demo has no financial risk, but our test showed how fast habits form: by spin 612 the credit balance sat CA$410 down, and the urge to chase it back was real. Buying the 500x round on repeat in the Sugar Rush 1000 free demo hides its price: at a loonie a spin, 20 buys equal CA$10,000. Set a cap before each session, for example 200 spins, and stop there.

Deposit limits, reality checks and a cool-off period sit in our account settings, and each took us under 2 minutes to switch on. Nothing stops you if you play Sugar Rush 1000 free for hours, so the stop signal has to come from you. Players in Canada can call a free provincial helpline at any hour, for example ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600 or Gambling Support BC on 1-888-795-6111. Each province runs its own self-exclusion program; Alberta’s, for example, lasts from 6 months to 3 years.

It’s the free version of the Pragmatic Play slot, running on virtual credits instead of CAD. In our review, the Sugar Rush demo 1000 kept the 7×7 grid, cluster pays and the 25,000x max win of the paid game with no cuts.

Geoff Keighley

Folks, Jake Harlow here, and I’ll be straight with you: Sugar Rush 1000 by Pragmatic Play hooked me from the very first spin! The 7×7 grid, packed with gummy bears and glossy lollipops, looks like a candy shop window you just want to dive headfirst into. Everything here runs on clusters: land five or more matching symbols, watch them burst, and new sweets come tumbling down in cascades that can keep rolling for ages. Now for the best part: every exploding tile leaves a mark behind, and each new win on that spot doubles the multiplier, all the way up to a jaw-dropping x1024! During free spins those multipliers stick around, and the screen lights up with numbers that will genuinely make your heart race. The top prize reaches 25,000x your bet, and that constant feeling that something huge is about to drop keeps you on the edge of your seat every second. Yes, volatility is high and quieter stretches do happen, but the moment the sugar storm kicks off, you forget all about them. My verdict: one of the most dazzling slots I’ve ever played, but play smart, set your limits, and remember it’s entertainment, not a way to make money.
